Vineyard residents will have a new way to experience art after dark next weekend as Utah City hosts Chalk the Night, a two-day glow-in-the-dark chalk art festival Sept. 18–19.

Presented by the Harrington Center for the Arts, the free event will be the nation’s first glow-in-the-dark chalk art festival. Each night, professional chalk artists will transform the streets of Utah City into an outdoor gallery, creating large-scale 10-by-10-foot neon chalk artworks designed to glow under the night sky.

Attendees can also enjoy a Silent Disco Party, food trucks, local vendors, interactive art installations and hands-on art activities for the whole family.

The event is designed to bring art and entertainment into a lively, family-friendly setting while giving visitors an opportunity to experience Utah City in a unique way.

Chalk the Night will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, and Saturday, Sept. 19, at Utah City. Admission is free, but attendees can RSVP here to receive a free glow item at check-in.

Community members are encouraged to bring friends and family and experience the artwork as it comes to life after dark.
