The Vineyard Observer has compiled your ultimate guide to these green havens:

Vineyard Grove Park: Sprawling across 18 acres, Vineyard Grove Park is a premier destination for recreation and community gatherings. This versatile park offers something for everyone, featuring expansive soccer fields, a scenic walking trail, all-ages playground areas, a basketball court, and four tennis courts that are also lined for pickleball with portable nets available. For events and parties, the park is well-equipped with restrooms and three reservable pavilions, two that seat approximately 60 people and a larger one ideal for gatherings of up to 145, making it a true cornerstone of outdoor life in Vineyard.

Gammon Park: Gammon Park in Vineyard offers a welcoming space designed for community recreation and family fun. The park is especially appealing for families with toddlers, offering a playground tailored for children ages 2-5, with soft ground, age-appropriate equipment, and plenty of shade. You’ll often hear the joyful sounds of little ones exploring and making new friends.

Sunset Beach Park: If a peaceful walk with stunning scenery is what you desire, Sunset Beach Park delivers. Its paved pathway offers the best walking path with a lake view, providing breathtaking vistas of Utah Lake. Whether you’re jogging, cycling, or simply enjoying a leisurely stroll, the tranquil beauty of the lake makes this park a true gem.

Neighborhood Pocket Parks: Beyond these main attractions, Vineyard is dotted with smaller neighborhood parks, each offering green spaces for relaxation and play within easy reach of residential areas. While they may not have the extensive amenities of the larger parks, they provide valuable community gathering spots and contribute to the city’s overall appeal.

What’s Coming Up: Vineyard is rapidly expanding its recreational and green spaces, with the most ambitious project being the Greenline, a 12-acre linear park that will serve as the central artery of the new Utah City downtown. It opened its first phase in the summer of 2025, with additional phases expected to open this fall, this vibrant corridor will connect the FrontRunner station to Utah Lake, featuring community hubs like event lawns and an all-abilities playground. While major public works like the Greenline are transforming the city, new residential developments such as Holdaway Fields also contribute to the overall green aesthetic. Though its walking trails and parks are private amenities for residents, Holdaway Fields’ design complements the city’s broader vision of creating a more interconnected and walkable community.

So there you have it – your guide to the wonderful parks of Vineyard! We encourage you to explore these green spaces and discover your own favorite spots. From energetic play to peaceful reflection, Vineyard’s parks offer something for everyone. Get outside and enjoy the beauty and recreation our city has to offer!
