Vineyard, UT – The Vineyard Public Library is quickly becoming the heart of our community, offering a treasure trove of resources and programs for residents of all ages. From cutting-edge technology to engaging activities for kids and teens, your local library is more than just a place for books.

History of the Library

The Vineyard Public Library’s story is one of rapid growth, beginning as the Vineyard Children’s Library in a small building at Gammon Park in May 2021. To meet the community’s growing demand, it moved to a temporary home at the City Offices in October 2022 before opening its permanent, state-of-the-art facility. This evolution from a small children’s gathering place to a full-service community hub highlights its commitment to growing with the families it serves.

A Hub of Technology and Learning

The Vineyard Public Library offers an impressive array of digital resources, all available for free with your library card. Cardholders can access a vast collection of ebooks, audiobooks, and eMagazines through the popular Libby app. For those looking to expand their skills, the library provides access to online databases for research, practice tests, and even resume-building tools. Creative residents can tap into their artistic side with Creativebug, which features thousands of online arts and crafts instructional videos. The LearningExpress Library is another fantastic resource, offering a wide range of e-learning courses and test preparation materials.

Fun and Adventure for Young Readers

The library is a wonderland for children, with weekly story times and a variety of monthly activities designed to spark a lifelong love of reading. Upcoming events include an exciting outdoor Firetruck Storytime with the Orem Fire Department at Grove Park. For young adventurers, a pirate-themed Library Escape Room will be held for ages 7-10. And for the budding scientists and engineers, a STEAM event, “Make a Chomping Shark,” will offer a fun, hands-on crafting experience.

A Place for Teens to Connect

Teens in Vineyard have a new spot to gather, play, and make new friends. In collaboration with the Vineyard Youth Council, the library hosts a Teen Game Club for ages 12-18. The club meets every other Monday from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM at City Hall and features popular games like Dungeons and Dragons. It’s a great opportunity for teens to unwind and engage in some friendly competition in a welcoming environment.

Great article! However, the current name of the library is the Vineyard Library, not the Vineyard Public Library. I’d love to see this updated in the article. Thanks for showcasing all there is to offer at the library!
